Help needed with mods and some question

Hi ,

I am a noob here , im very new to tremulous but i'm willing to learn.

I downloaded arcarde mod's SVN Client Backport but once i put in vms-svn931-backport-4.pk3 to my base i will not beable to spawn in my server.

Once i join a team , and click it will say something.
For ailen it say that you cannot leave until your time builter end.
For human it will say you cannot built on the surface.
Is there something wrong with the vms-svn931-backport-4.pk3
or is it me? I aslo saw a person with the same problem as me.

I had a few noob question but i hope you all can answer me and i really need a answer.

I had done all the step they had told me to for installing mod and hosting a modded server but when i start up my server it had no effect of the arcade mod. No new rader  no chat bubble but only new admin command like !slap !layout !allowbuild !denybuild etc. Can anyone tell me if weather i need to type some command or do something to activite the mod?

Another problem i encounter is :
I had downloaded some files call PATCH files but i don't know what to do with them . Can anyone tell me where should it be put at and  what should i do with it?

1. Go to This Directory
{If your on windows of course  }

c:\documents and settings\YOU\local setttings\Application Data\Tremulous

2. Create a new folder in there and call it: Arcade

3. In your new arcade folder put all the files that you need for a arcade mod.

4. join a arcade server and enjoy.

If ur still a noob and cant figure it out:

1. Start Tremulous

2. Go into the options menu and turn autodownload on

3. Join a arcade server and it will automatically download the mod for you in the right spots.

Warning This might take a long time depending on the server and ur internet connection

That should fix your problem.

For your server:

change this code in your command line:
tremded.exe +set dedicated 2 +exec server.cfg

to:

tremded.exe +set dedicated 2 +set fs_game arcade +exec server.cfg

That should work but i wouldn't know because ive never tried to host a arcade server.

With the patch files dont try anything with them ur to mutch of a noob!

but they are basicly just files that you apply to the tremulous sorce code witch change it into a sorce code for a mod or new server side cmd.


One more thing.  Copy your arcade game.qvm into the
arcade directory u allready made.

Make sure u put it in a vm folder 2
