Hello. I have a dispute. I respectfully ask for help.

Hi all. This post is mainly for the Tremulous SST server admins.

And also, I hope this post is in the right place. If I need to repost somewhere else, let me know.

I have been playing Tremulous for almost a year now. My screen nickname is (GA)Beta. I was banned from the SST server a week ago. Well, it was about a week ago, I don't remember what day. The supposed reason was for "decon" and the ban was "permanent". I think it was LXG|Genie who banned me and I have nothing against him for doing it. I believe he was doing his job but he only acted too quickly, as I did not just "decon".

Ok, so I did technically deconstruct the overmind, but I also rebuilt the overmind in our new base. I was on the aliens team and I was a granger for nearly the whole game. I built a large base in a decent location on the map. No teammates expressed any disagreement with what I was building. Eventually, our old, default base was just about demolished by the enemy. So I told my team in teamchat that I was moving the OM to the new base.

In fact, I gave a warning ahead of time that I was moving the OM soon. Then, the enemy team attacked our old base and nearly killed the OM. So I told everyone in teamchat that the OM was weak and I was moving it. So I deconned it and I did rebuild it in a decent spot.

Next thing I know, I was banned permanently for "Reason: Decon". I like how SST isn't afraid to ban deconners, but I am not a deconner or grief builder. Nor am I a weak player. I was somewhat offended by what Genie did but I know he must have made a mistake. These things happen and I can get over it.

I would like to respectfully ask that I can please be un-banned from the Tremulous SST server. I like to play Tremulous and SST is one of my favorite servers. I have been playing there for a long time and would like to play there again.

Can someone please fix this issue? If anyone disagrees with me coming back to the SST servers then let me know. Maybe we can battle the snot out of each other next time we play.

SST Ban Appeal Sub-Forum

Go there, make an account, start a thread, and post a calm, respectful private message to Genie, who you will find is a decent human being and as far as I ever knew, a cool player and fair admin. SST is a big server. Admins there can be very busy, with such a high player count, and so many people joining, leaving, deconning, griefing, chatspamming, and abusing the votecall system. If you've played there for over a year, you should be a member of that forum already, to be truthful. Join the forum of every server you consider yourself a regular at, and post a couple of useful posts, so that they know you aren't a kook. Then, if some weird stuff goes down in-game, the regulars will know you, and might even back you up. Other than that, this thread doesn't really belong here, prepare yourself for excessive flaming and have a better Tremulous day.
