!kick UnnamedPlayer n00building

People who kick new players for being new are the cancer that is killing Trem. If they're stubborn and won't listen to their teammates' advice, that's one thing, but when they just make some mistakes because they're still learning? Way to represent the community, buddy.

Perhaps I should have been more clear, my point was that the servers that tend to have less issues with inexperienced builders are those with good administrators.
Ask the n00builder to stop -> !warn -> !denybuild -> !kick -> !ban.

Why is aeveryone always obsessed with everyone in their team and game and world being absolutely perfect.
We spend countless hours always looking at the next person and saying "You suck, you should be better".

Why?

Isnt Tremulous supposed to be fun, and how can it be fun with everyone constantly judging you, inspecting you, critisizing you, and if you dont live up to their nitty-gritty little expectations, then they kick you.

Why?

Surely this constant standard setting defeats the idea of carefree playing.
I play Tremulous to escape the rules and regulation sof life that state that im not allowed to shoot shit up, but then you get onto Tremulous, mand you are told exactly how and when to shoot the shit up, and woe betide you if you shot that shit wrong.

I feel as though I am rambling and repeating myself, so I'll stop there, but just the about the mould on new players this is making, making every player the same bloody clone.

Theres always another game.

Oh man... :-\ I took the liberty to translate this:

Quote
I'll quit skiing because everybody is constantly telling me to close that ski binding, not to even try to ski on ice, not to try to ski downhill backwards, and so on and so on and so on...

I mean, isn't sports just for fun? Why does anybody have to teach a new skier how to ski instead of just letting them do this? This sucks.

There is always another sport.

Got that?

Btw, I really like the idea of a Tremulous society of mechanical engineers, having a bunch of people all around the clans and the open servers as well who kind of specialize in building. This would mean that if anybody evers sees such a person in his team, he can safely let this person build, relying on the fact that his team will have a usable base ready, so he does not have to care too much about it.

Also, if somebody sees a TSME in the opponent team, he will know that this game can not likely be won by just knocking out the base of that stupid builder, because the builder will have his skills and plan his bases well. Not perfectly, but "well"=good enough to cause some serious headache even to skilled attackers.

I've made the experience that even a non-below-average builder can do a lot for the team, like the goalkeeper in soccer - just image how a soccer would be if there was none!

It's those people who make the humans despair because any time they think they have hunted down all the eggs there are still some left because the alien builder knew what he was doing, it's those people who make the aliens despair because whatever they try they simply cannot crush the human base because the builder keeps his permanently repaired turrets in line and does not expose the reactor.

I would appreciate the founding of TSME and would sign in for sure.

And if you played alien lately and permanently run into a deadly mixture of turret and chaingun fire, you may now know who did it ;)
I have retired from Tremulous. Definetely. If you play a game just because it has become a habit, but u'r only feeling like a kindergarten teacher - well, maybe I am just getting too old (hell, I was a teenager when DukeNukem3D was *new*) - it's probably not a bad idea to just let it be. And I do.

Don't take this personally. Have fun, guys.

Thank you +1
The games I have seen where both teams have a TSME player on them turn out to be pretty long because the bases hold up well

I cant think of any comebacks right now, but i'll leave yiou with this thought (gosh I know, collect em all, eh?);

You are an awful person and you suck balls.

Actually, what Im meaning to say is that this is just another way of chastizing new players, I never got taught how to ski, yet I can ski pretty well.
I went to a resort and I was left to go figure.

Same with Trem.
We can learn on our own surely, I mean surely we are all graced with a Brain, surely...

Cant think of a logical response so you pull out the insult gun, eh?
Anyway yes we all can figure it out by our selves but I would rather be told not to do this or that (like putting a trapper on the wall above the door), instead of ruining the game for others (the human raiding party goes right past the  :trapper: and it doesn't do any thing to them then our base dies)
