Dasprid- I like Hamatuapa -whatever the heck it is, and Ancient Remains. I hope that both will go into 1.2

I would like my map sectorb17 to be in the next version, if that is ok, and if there is enough time to give it some testing beforehand?

More resource organization!

I recommend against putting all these maps in the release in one download, it will make download sizes too large (for those who don't download all maps). They may be listed on the main download page as maps or even mappacks, but the downloads should at least somehow be partitioned like 1.1.0.

Default download:
- executables; virtual machines in one pk3
- base data in one pk3: graphics, sounds, scripts, misc, no textures
Just enough to load the menu and support maps.
- a few basic maps (maybe replace uncreation and atcs with better ones)
Each map should have it's own textures in it's pk3 file.
- some cfgs outside

Additional downloads
+ Source code should be downloaded separately.
+ Maps or whole map packs.

Put some of the more commonly used texture-sets in the common folder.

I don't think any map should use common textures, because that's not artistic and unique. Unless we add a large texture pack...
Currently, I don't know any common textures used (for stock Trem). Tremor has some textures in the data-1.1.0.pk3 for some reason :S

Once I've finished Zone 8, I'd be glad if you would like to add it in trem 1.2. So far, it's looking alright. Lighting is getting to be a problem, though.

Trem 1.2 and/or any map packs should be uploaded to www.gameupdates.org as well.  GU is an extremely fast torrent site (all legal) - it has like 4 high-speed servers helping, and with popular torrents, it can easily reach anyone's max download speed.

EDIT: Trem 1.1 is already there, and I have put Trem 1.1 + BeerGarden maps (+ a few others maybe, I forget) up there.

Here's one for y'all to ponder; Can a sticky be necro'd?

Anyhoo, any word on which maps will/will not be making into 1.2? I think having a community vote for these would be an idea, but we would need nominations, and dev support for the best results.

The only addition being "nano"? Because, that's the only new map I've seen there.

Wrong, they put balanced maps for gameplay testing only

none of those maps are going in 1.2 besides a couple

The maprotation on mgdev is not indicitive at all of what will or won't be in 1.2. As far as I know that list is entirely undecided at present although yes more maps will be included.

Amanieu doesn't know anything about 1.2. You're silly for listening to him.

Would it be possible to integrate a torrent client in the game client?

It's been talked about, but it would be extremely difficult to add to tremulous.
