Mapping - Fog
« on: April 22, 2008, 11:51:38 pm »
Hello,
I looked at Bubba's Arena tutorial for making fog on a map but i have a few questions.
When it gets to this part:
Code: [Select]
Now go up to the textures option on the toolbar and select
'sfx' and then any of the boxes that say 'fog' in them
I tryed to find the textures option on the toolbar but can not find it..
If there is something different you have to do for trem fog please let me know.
Or if there is anything i need to download.

Thanks for your time.

You don't need a specific texture for fog, only a specific shader. The texture mentioned in the shader is merely a placeholder to show you what is fog in Radiant.

This is the fog texture I made for use in Sokolov, and that contains the fog shader I used. Search the shader for the keyword 'fog'.

If you had taken the time to even read the most basic documention of Quake3 shaders, you would know that answer is quite correct.
