I would not mind my latest donation to end up in his bank. I am willing to believe that he had to pay out of his own pockets when donations did not suffice before. I don't donate regularly. I will just assume that my donation went for a previous month when my ISP was not acting up and I could connect to SST and play.

I was, though, referring to those who intended to pay for further time rather than time already spent. All the more reason to think carefully before donating and not treat charity like a service. This doesn't stop it being a point of interest.

Obviously, Confess does not have enough money to keep SST running, which indicates more donations would be needed to keep SST running.

RE-READ Confess post and think about what you just wrote.

You mix up running a server with selling things to gather additional money for RL. (He obviously owns the server hardware. So, selling it is different to "keep the server going/pay the monthly hosting costs.)
