I run Mac 10.5 and lately I've been trying to install some new HUDs. I use Tremfusion if that changes anything, I know you put the UI folders in the base folder, but which one? I tried putting lets say Impulse in and i type /exec ui/impulse.cfg in console but it restarts and nothing changed. Specifically for Impulse it said a bunch of things like "unknown command '}'"

HUDs go into homepath/base folder, and you need to uninstall other HUDs before installing new ones.
-
I have, which base folder the one in the Tremulous folder on the one in my library?
-
Sorry for double post,
I tried Warriors HUD but it only said exec warriorHud and didn't even restart

Please note that this is the mod release center, not the modding help center... >:(

Than can a mod move it there please or should i repost the topic?

Don't repost, a mod will move it when/if they have the time.

Homepath is in the 'library', application data or whatever it is called in your OS. Basepath is where the executable is. You can check the exact locations by writing '/fs_' and pressing tab in tremulous console.
-
I did the /fs_ thing and it says its in Users/Student/Library/Application Support/Tremulous
There is no folder called Tremulous in Application Support. How do I know if I even have the homepath folder or not. I'm using a school computer, so I think nothing has permission to add stuff to Application Support except for teachers. Can you get another homepath folder and put it somewhere else?
-
If Tremulous stores your binds/settings, then the folder exists. Maybe it is hidden (check preferences for whatever you are using to browse folders)? Tho yes, you can change the location of homepath to anything, by starting trem with
+set fs_homepath "/path/to/somewhere"
at the end of the command/target field of shortcut. It might even be possible to make a portable install of trem, on a USB drive, tho I'm not sure how exactly.

forget it, i found it. I was looking in Mac HD/library
instead of users/student/library
Sorry

Still cant get it working. What am I supposed to delete and what am I supposed to add for the oticz HUD? Does it even work for 1.2 Beta? All all I can find in the base folder are maps. Lots of maps that got auto downloaded. No HUD files or anything.. :-[
-
I'm pretty sure no current HUDs (except 1 or 2) don't work with 1.2.

ok then, what am i supposed to delete
