Title: How to add your own models into your map?
Post by: Firstinaction on August 25, 2010, 01:38:36 am
Hello quick? How can I add my own models from blender into gtk radiant. I have googled it but the only good tut gives me only the models from the trem game. I want my own models. In gtk radiant There is     - -- -    (Right click-misc-misc_model) then I can choose from (md3;obj;3ds etc...) But All I get is a cube with no texture. Whats the problem with it?

My guess is that the model isn't in the same directory as the map.

Shaders? LOL! Sure not...

Problem is path of model. gtk/net define wrong path. I think it should be models/model_dir/model_name.md3 or something. Just be sure u have model in correct path and experiment with paths. =)

No matter how many times you tell people that there will always be more to fill the gap of those saved.  ::)

If you all keep talking about GTK, i "misunderstand" that you need help with gimp, because ti uses gtk too.

Gimp is the reason GTK exists. Gimp Toolkit. However, it's now in use for many many other things (namely the GNOME Desktop Environment). But yes, calling it GTK is not the correct term. It is indeed GTKRadiant or NetRadiant.

Well... We on map-making section of forum... And almost all mappers here using GTKRadiant or NetRadiant. So using gtk or net abbreviation giving enough sense about our topic of conversation. Dont be so nudnik. =D

Put your pictures at /tremulous/base/texures/mymap and in radiant, go to mymap section.
