An ALIEN themed map. That it all.

Sci-fi, epic, and scary please. Use darkness in moderation, else it'd be Doom3 without the torch.

Also make it playable. See my maps for tips on how not to do this.

Don't forget the pipes. You can't win without pipes.

The thing I like best in maps are secrets, like secret teleports, doors, etc. I also like control centers that can lock an entire map down. That makes the game interesting to see what team gets there first. Two good examples of that are the maps Paint6 and Paint7.

Exactly same what I want from map too.

Too bad that you can't use darkness as it should be used. Only good way to use darkness is for artistic reasons.

Also, some useless machinery. ;D

well, you can do this, if you put a low light setting in the map, or by coating the entire map in fog(ever played snowvalley?), and if you put a very very very dim lighting on all walls so that they are seeable, but don't exactly generate light, that MIGHT work, I've never tried it but it sounds good in theory.

Best sci fi map on tremulous is pretty much Pulse.... Before you cut me off and say my opinion is wrong.......

Pulse has that sci fi feeling too it... Has everything- dark, detailed, futuristic, even has a mod were there is falling meteorites outside

Thats the best map I have ever seen made in GTK mapping engine....

Pulse is definitely sci-fi feeling and the atmosphere, sounds, looks and so on are very nice. Gameplay- and bugwise it's probably the worst map in Tremulous, though.

Same opinions, although I think gameplay is not that sucky, but bugs are indeed most annoying.

But to other things, does anyone know if soubok is still creating maps, or otherwise alive? Last time he was on forums was March 30, 2010 (by his public profile.)
