Title: Unblalanced weapons ideas.

Heres a little thread i wanted to start so people can post their ideas that are too insane to be imlimented. Then you can rate other peoples.


Here are some of mine.

1. weapon shots dont release a particale effect when they hit a surface. Instead for each particale they release another shot instead.

Fn with the lucies.

2. Cluster nade. when thrown nades release 5 normal nades. 
3. Cluster Cluster Nades When thrown nades release 5 cluster cluster nades that each releace 5 more when they explode.

Start coding? Looks like is VERY unbalanced. Who is gonna play it? Only humans get the benefits? I don't think so. But wait, the topic is Unbalanced Weapons.

yeah we could have the whole map filled with luci shots and get the world lag record!
Goons could bounce continually off walls and bite any humans head off that comes.

huh people failed to grasp one of my concepts again.

1. its a place for RANDOM, CRAZY, UNBALANCED OR INSANE MODS (or along those lines)
2. ANYONE can post a mod.
3. ANYONE can rate it.
4. if you do wnna release it you can do so under this post to show people who might download it, what they will be getting into.

Shockwave grenade that flings every player in direct-LOS with a force inversely proportional to distance.
Gravitic grenade that does the exact opposite.
Acid spraying alien that makes an area hurt Humans, similar to dead eggs/OM/hovel.
Tactical Nuke, built by ckit, takes 2 minutes until it finished arming, kills everything within 2500 units, and flings their bodies away at ludicrous speeds.

The Flushasripuchadriver. It's a combination of every human weapon (See if you can figure out the order ;))

It uses every key on your keyboard because it has so many fire modes, so you can't move by walking, BUT! You do gain super spiderman abilities as well as teleportation abilities. Pressing shift shoots a web which pulls you along, and pressing Home teleports you back to your base.

It's available at S3, and it costs 3300c.

Luci nade.

a nade that explodes like a luci but bigger and 15 times more damage.

Nade luci.

a luci that when it explode the explosion particles are replaced by nades. (fallout damage still counts.)

A button for aliens and humans when you pressed it the other team dies....... simper and easy but however aliens or humans must press the button first..... At least it end the game faster.....

Alien Snowball - One alien begins to roll around the map, any aliens which touch it get gathered into a ball. The ball damages humans and human structures on contact. Damage is determined by the size of the ball and it's speed.

I had an idea for a hooversaw. You build up power in the painsaw by hurting aliens with it, and as you do so they find themselves being dragged towards the deathly blades by an unseen force. Fully charged, you'd lift dretches off the floor from several feet away and suck them to their doom.

Tesla Battlesuit - Turns the wearer into a walking tesla generator.

You cannot carry a weapon with it, but pressing the trigger generates a tesla field around you (It'll run out of energy with sustained use) which damages any living thing, except other tesla suit wearers and Advanced Marauders (since they have electrical abilities)

BTW the most powerful most horrible scariest weapon is in tremulous aready you know......... i'll tell what is it.. but however you must at least be a admin... when you are admin try !nextmap... easy and well.. easy and end the game y typing 8 powerful words in te console....... althoug it wil count as abuse.... anyway just ideas...  :angel:

i was thinking about a genocide weapon ...
an alien with the weapon kills or just infects the human, now every other human in he gets in contact with gets infected too =)

I'm going for one a day here.

Bungie Ball - An alien defence structure. Built on the ceiling, it drops a spiky mace onto any human who walks under it, killing them instantly. The ball hangs there for a few seconds (vulnerable) then retracts again. The only time it is vulnerable is when it has been deployed, so to destroy it you have to stand in it's line of fire and shoot straight up (or sacrifice a teammate).

Hmm, a chaingun that shoots luci secondaries or that shoot mass-drivers...

Then again, cluster nades actually have some promise if they are done right.

i've tried a chaingun with md-shots its one of the most unbalance thing i put i my last mod i released =9 a rant is in 2 -3 seconds down

luci chaingun wow that would be a catastrophy xD

the umbrella is a really funny ider =) has someone a model of an umbrella xD

I just can't imagine more epic unfair solution than the most simple:

+UPPERCUT+

press crouch and push the unexisting melee button and expect the goon crushing troughout the ceiling, first way up, and then, after you smoked a cigarette, the way down.. great opportunity to do interesting gravity kills by the falling bodies.

can be combined with scorpion's spear, but well... it's probably much more unfair than something that would cover the phrase of unfair.

neutron singularity fusion device.

its a structure that creates a black hole that draws all enemies in. its weak at first but as it draws in more enemies it becomes more powerful. the radiation emitied damages enemies giving them radiation sickness that contaminates other players,buildings (making them damage over time and infect other people/buildings) and and are 12 units arpund them. It also mutates ur team slightly to give them an attack and regeneration boost. evntually one it has reached critical mass it will explode causing any enemy within 10000 units to die (bigger maps might stand a chance) and the residual charce left over lasts for 1 min.


a doomsday device for either side.

Mine-dropping robot droid AI thing.
It walks around semi-randomly placing mines that do grenade damage when alien approach.
Oh, and they are automatically produced by a droid manufacturing facility/building.

Parasite - A granger can insert a spore into a human. This spore develops and becomes an active egg after a few seconds. Infested humans show up as a green dot (instead of blue, so aliens may avoid attacking them) and have a slight green aura, visible only to aliens. Any alien has the option to spawn as a parasite as long as there is a live, infested human (host) on the map. The parasite instantly kills the host, leaping out of his torso (accompanied by the mandatory shower of blood) as a fully formed dretch. (gaining points and evos for the kill in the process)

thats leet!
maybe for some time the parasite could even take over the controll on the human so the alien player can play with him for a time to make teamkills and base destruction. the stronger the human was, the deadlier the effect is :-) oh well this would maybe need not only a split but closecombat bites.

How about having the adv Basilisk do this. Have him to be able Charge (like pounce but longer) a shot when grabbing human and if it can hold him till it's charged it can infest it.

Remotely Controlled Spider Mines - When deployed, the spider mine is in the direct control of it's user, and is able to walk on walls and ceilings as well as the floor. Pressing the fire button releases a mine, which you then guide into place. Secondary fire detonates all active mines.

How about this.
If a Human is Walking on creep a granger can stick him in place. Then the granger uses the sticky thing 2-3 more times and the human is bound in place and cannot move untill the egg from which the creep is produced is destroyed. (if all humans captured aliens win) you could also use the bodies (killing the human) and turn them into suicide runners. They will automaticly head for thr RC and detonate on contact with any buildings it bumps into on the way.

well funny picture you got in the first page and also when i am thinking about a fully-atomatique-luci-shooting-shotgun-with-nade-throwing-attachment? for the humans and for the aliens a alien  with acid-shooting-turrets which aim and shoot automaticly and the aliens's rant can have up to 10 rets!!!!

Well I didn't get a chance to post one yesterday, so I come baring two today.

Orbital Strike Cannon
Any location with a direct line-of-sight to the skybox can be targeted. A couple of seconds after the target has been designated, the cannon fires a high energy pulse (Like a giant version of the pulse rifle) at it, annihilating anything nearby.

Dretch Cannon
A small globe-shaped structure which can be built on walls, floor and ceiling. A dretch can climb inside it, as a granger can climb into a hovel, but then using the mouse to aim and fire, the dretch can launch itself in any direction.

How about that, but instead of a building it's an Advanced Tyrant, and the TYRANT gets to pick what to shoot them at. Kinda like dragoon barbs, but much, much funnier.

Better: Black paint, which can be used to paint a tunnel on the wall that humans can escape through, but tyrants run face-first into it and gib.

Even better: Camp hole, which can be inflated on any surface(including liquids) and it will be IN the surface, allowing humans to camp. The hole does not allow aliens to enter/snipe. In liquid, the hole allows you to create a tunnel which is created while you swim across, protecting you.

Acid Canister Rifle
Launches a small grenade-like projectile which explodes half a second after being fired, creating a cloud of acid particles, damaging anything caught within it.

To get it you have to have NOTHING equipped (but as you cant sell blaster or medikit those don't count)

When you but it it comes pre-equipped with twin lasers, a rocket launcher and twin assult rife turrets with built in aimbots so those autofire at enemies.

its dead slow and can only fit in areas big enought to hold a tryant.

Disintegration gun. Can come with all human weapon attachments. Meaning that the gun can shoot like them. The gun disintegrates the alien a bit at a time. So a fully charged luci-equiped gun would disintegrate a whole alien while without the upgrade it just disintegrates a small bit. Or if you want it really unbalanced then it destroys all! Or maybe all aliens in sight...

i was gonna say the suit predator has from avp,but ok.also you can spawn as Alien(avp)and carry 6 rants on back,instagib bsuits,throw nades back(cod4),take and use hummie guns,eat nades and gain helth,act as OM,take no explosion damage(splash,nade,tactical nuke),1000000 hp,carry egg,big boom when killed,can eat flamer/luci/MD/chaingun/PR bullets,and finally,play the bongo drums.

just make it bigger and badder.


heres a new idea.

Bricks.
Cost about 50
do about 20 damage per brick and they stay where they land so you can block and area with them.

if you cant set the expiery time to infinate try setting it to 3 hours.

you spawn with it

it does 400 dmg per hit

it shoot 10000 bullets per second

it has no reloads

it bullets speed is 1000000 km/s

it can be dual

it is light

it comes with a adv b suit

and it can fly

it is imune to dretch and saps any aliens around it
automaticly

it can launche a rocket which kills anything withing it's rang ( which would be frrom on e side of atcs to the other) but has to be in a straight line ( if you hiding behind a wall it wont affect u)

you can even hold 3 guns per hand

and you sell it for 100 and you buy it for free


it would be so unbalacing th teams lol

I know the Xael, but if you actually played doom 2 you would realise its nothing like the xael.. cept the the green shots,

- Does it make that 1337 sound when it fires/hits?
- Is it named the BFG-9000? (lol)

Dretches with rocket packs. Launch yourself at incredible speed in a straight line. No stopping till you hit something. humands will not stop you. They just die and you keep going.

Humans get an eating robot. It expands to fills any room it is in and just keeps moving foward eating anything in its path.

Hydrogen Singularity Compactor Unit - Essentially a very large bomb, the humans can build this as a structure wherever they like and it will remain active as long as it is powered. If destroyed or activated, it will shrink inwards on itself and eventually explode. However, if it's power source is removed (be it a reactor or repeater) it will cease to be dangerous, and can be safely destroyed.

Lucifier beam shot by granger if it successfully got hit by lucifier ball into face. Second hit by lucifier into face just makes beam more powerful. Can take 5 max powered shots before it explodes as in nuke blast for over charging.

"Strange Love" one time rocket launcher that's rocket can will be riden by the person who it hit's first. Second hit and walls detonates it on contact. rider can of course jump off.

Name: Bunny suit
Cost: 3200 creds (2000 + sold battlesuit, luci and nade)
Description: 90% armor, all speeds x2, super jump and no damage from falling.
Looks: Some what like that pink overflow's bunny avatar back then.

Name: Snow Bunny suit
Cost: 5200

Like the Mg turrets cept they fire high power streams of ion radiation capable of vaprise most aliens in one hit.

Two hits in the same place will generally have the same effect as a nuclear meltdown contained with 10 ft of space.

Well I've been extremely busy the last couple of days, so you get three today, aren't you lucky?!

Head Cannon - The last resort for a human. Worn like a helmet, upon use it irradiates and launches the player's head, killing the player and anything that the head hits.
Shark - An alien class which travels just below the ground, with only a very small portion of it's body exposed, but when attacking it leaps upwards out of the ground, killing anything in it's path.
Energy Shield - A Human defensive structure, it projects a quarter-spherical, blue energy shield directly infront and above itself, which vapourises any alien which tries to pass through. It does not vapourise humans, although they are unable to fire energy weapons through it. Alien ranged attack can still penetrate it, though.

Overcharge Repeater - It looks like a normal repeater, it sounds like a normal repeater, heck it even tastes like a normal repeater, but when you destroy it, it instantly explodes and creates a giant fireball, engulfing everything nearby.

Explorer - A small remote controlled, flying drone (I have an affinity towards these!) which can go anywhere in a map, but only has a short range, fairly low damage weapon.

Overlord Spawn - If a human is killed by the overmind, and Overlord becomes available. The Overlord is essentially a cross between a human and the overmind. Having a player spawn as and overlord (alien class) a
grants you additional build points, and the Overlord acts as a source of creep, an egg and a booster all combined into one, however there can only be one Overlord at once and it requires a full 9 Evolution Points. You are unable to evolve into an Overlord unless you are standing directly next to the Overmind. The Overlord is relatively slow moving and uses stamina to sprint (sprinting grants a considerable speed boost) and jump, but has high hit-points, and a strong melee attack, as well as the ability to cloak for a short period of time (uses up stamina) and climb walls.

Attack one: The Human pulls the band backwards (like a luci charge) if he gets it right he will flick the band killing any alien instantly (used infinite times) if he gets it wrong the band will snap and he will die regardless.

Secondary fire: thwe human uses the band to catapult himself to rediculous heights / distances upon landing he releases a shockwave that can kill things weaker than a mara.

MMB: the human can use it as a bungieen cord to pull himself up walls our pull aliens to their doom (human pulls out a saw if he hits an alien)

Anyway, Grapple:

Humans can use it to grapple on anything: walls, cielings, clouds, stars, skyboxes, aliens.

Primary attack grabs hold of objects, walls, players etc. If players are grabbed, if primary attack button is released, user is flung at the grappled player. If secondary attack button is clicked while primary is still pressed, player grabbed gets flung to user.

Secondary attack pokes eyes out of players, making them blind until they reach a booster/medpad by hearing/orienteering. Also gives near to killing damage (% of hp).

Tertiary attack sterilises target; cannot evolve or build. Limps for rest of life. Cannot wallwalk or jetpack, jump or sprint. Cannot have kids.

their second most powerful weapon is the BS cannon

at s2 they get the FUD bomb and it makes humans want to get rid of their own weapons and have the marketroid weapons

there defenses should be big and flashy and strike fear into everyone but almost useless till s2 then they are even flashier and make the other teams defenses look like crap

i got two weapons.

For the Humans its the "Smells Like Blue" generator.
Emits a blue field that all aliens hate. They hare the field so much that they die over a period of time if they stay in it.

For the aliens its the "Feels Like red" Genarator.
same as the humans but red.

if the two feilds collide it will create a purple "Time Wave" effect.

There will be a 20 second delay before the field ignites at which point blank areas of safty will appear at rand so just hope for your damn arse's sake theres one near you. upon detination some buildings / players cought in thwe filed will be killed.  Some random few will be catapulted forward in time. (players will be pushed into spec and muted for a limited period of time but buildings will dissapper and then reappear later (their effects are not canceled and still exist tecnicly so you can build a new OM or RC (if there's another building in the way when it reappears the newer building is destroyed.0

Telemutationnode - If a telenode is hit by a granger's creep spit, it becomes a telemutation node. Every so often the node creates a human/alien-cross bot, which wanders around aimlessly for a few seconds then explodes. The only way to stop the flow is to destroy the telemutationnode, but due to the alien infestation, it cannot be deconstructed, however it still costs the humans the energy that a telenode would, and still functions as a normal telenode aswell.

Creeper - An alien structure which can only be built on the ground. The creeper is a very small bundle of creep, which "walks" along the ground towards nearby enemies. If touched by a human, it engulfs them, stopping them from moving and slowly digests them. However, the human can shoot his way out with a powerful enough weapon.

Should a player get caught in the beam and pushed against a wall, they will slowly take damage from being crushed. Secondary fire pushes the DEITY user backwards, allowing limited "flight" increased speed (backwards only) or protection from falling.

Instant Death Rifle - A small-ish handheld energy weapon that's only good for one shot before it has to be recharged, it deals 800 points of damage (enough to destroy the overmind, I believe)  with one shot. With a battery pack it can be fired twice.

Well, you can't have the D.E.I.T.Y anymore, I decided I liked it too much so I'm using it myself, however you're welcome to this one:

The Vortex Regurgitation Turret: Sucks up aliens to use as ammunition. The damage it causes it dependent on the health of the alien, so if a hull-health tyrant is sucked up, it would do 400 points of damage.

Sentient Barricade - Not really unbalanced, but makes them a little more useful and worth having. The sentient barricade is able to attack near-by humans with a weak melee attack, and if the barricade is near a booster, the barricade can make use of poison attacks, too.

Even though dretches aren't insects, but oh well, the dretch taunt reminds me of a buzzing mosquito.

Also, it tells you when there's a target, as well as showing you aliens through walls. (Detect Life, anyone?)

I still want human female soldiers with big boobs. Any aliens caught staring at them will freeze for 10 seconds thereby making them vulnerable to human attacks.

Just thought of another unrealistic mod...

Undermind buildable - mini overminds which take only 4 bp and generates an extra 30 bp in the immediate area surrounding it. When shot at, nearby aliens will hear a little squeaky voice saying "help meeee... i am under attack!"
