I'll be sure not to make multiple threads for this one. When I add a few new ones I'll make a new comment and say to look back to this main post ;)
Anyways, here's all of my wallpapers up to date. These are brandy new and 1600x1200 resolution. You might have to view the image separately and then make it background for the full resolution. I'll start this off with
Back away slowly...

Some pretty nice pics, though your DoF and motion blur at points are far too exaggerated.

Ok I fixed the images...but I'm not sure about the 1600x1200 links. Can somebody tell me if they work?
@ tyranis: They're supposed to be exaggerated! :D
-
Nice pictures. Keep in mind some Windows users will have all their icons on the left side of the screen, and its hard to read what thier icons are if the background image is too colorful/busy/messed/etc. Not a 'must' to do, but maybe one pic that keeps the left side clean won't hurt? :P
-
Not enough anti-aliasing to be one of my wallpapers. But nice pics, I liked the "Tactics" one.

Move all your icons to the right side of your desktop; problem solved. Or, flip the image horizontally.
-
I liked the "Tactics" one.
Indeed, that one's very cool :)

They look very nice.

That works too. :P
Tip:
The wallpapers that have aliens/humans being brutally pwned are always the best ones. :D
@Back away slowly
One snipe and its going to be ugly for that shotty.
-
Something I forgot to ask... Why are the aliens in the wallpapers so frickin' big?
-
Because these aliens are???
-
What?
-
What?
Nice edit, but it's still the same... he didn't increase the alien's size, so...
-
The dragoon in the first one is as tall as the human and the tyrant in the third is friggin' enormous. You're telling me the size hasn't been increased? ::)
-
That's definitely default size. Maybe just the way he took them, but I still like them either way. ;)
-
You have got to be pulling my leg...
-
Um, maybe he modified it, but it looks default to me. Maybe it's my eyes.
-
The goon looks a little big in the first one, but I'll bet its default (camera angle foreshortened view?).
The rant looks big in the third one, but aren't those Humans well in the background?
The dretch in a vent looks cool if you know Trem. Otherwise it looks like a dead bug.
A smidgen too much depth of field and motion blur, as noted above. Try maybe some Shiny Trem or TF effects?
Good effort! Please continue.
-
That explains it... Stupid perspective always makes a fool of me. >:(
-
Stupid?? Why be it stupid? >_>
-
I didn't edit the sizing of anything. And the point of this series is to capture the motion of the moment in a still picture, that's why there is so much blur/effects.
-
I understand the intent. It is obvious, and goes without saying. What I am quibbling with is the execution, which to my eye, is just a wee bit, shall we say, over the top. Not by that much, mind you. In the last picture I think you about nailed it, except to the non-Trem player, it just doesn't look that threatening. In the first shot the red blob is too jarringly out of focus. In the third shot I think you about nailed it. In the second one, the use of effects, while interesting in its own right is a bit much, and it's hard to relate the death throes of the mighty rant to the tiny, faraway, puny human figures.
Just my personal take on the aesthetics of your compositional style, since you posted it here, for criticism and encouragement. I offer both. Make moar plz.

It's tiny, overexaggerated, and a necro post.
