I hope im not too horribly outdated.[solved]

ok after much trouble i got gtkRadient 1.2 to work

i tried 1.5 first but that got a horrible error that crashed the program on startup
then i tried ingars build
i got the same error just without the crashing

these are what i got

then well i tried 1.4 and well i got an error about a a synapse or something but i accually did make a synapse config and put it all correctly >_>
so anyway am i too outdated if im using 1.2?

i just wanna know... because i wanna make a map


EDIT: ok now that i have messed around a bit i was wondering

all this came out in the ouput.....

am i doing somthing wrong?

To get 1.5 working, you should try repairing your installation. You do this by opening the installer, and selecting the "Repair" option.

This is assuming you're on Windows.

i think im good i saw in the mappinf tutorial that there wasnt much changed anyway.....

but can i get some help on the shaders that werent found/used or w/e?

and why my overmind does not have a texture......


EDIT: ok so i compiled a map and supposedly got it working but.....when i load the map into tremulous via

/devmap

then after it loads it crashes because it says there are no spawn points :(

but i added both a human spawn and an alien spawn and a reactor and an overmind

You need a misc_spectator_interval_whatever_it's_called (The name escapes me right at the moment) entity as well, and one of each of the team-specific one's too.

actually, you only need the spectator spawn, the alien/human spawns aren't required

on 1.4, u need to make sure that all of ur files are in plain text format, not in rtf, thats what happened to me. and that error is a synpase error not a synapse errror, IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SYNAPSE.CONFIG FILE and its caused by a trailing slash in one of ur files, go back through them all, and make sure that the things are:   Applications/Tremulous     and not Applications/Tremulous/

The spectator spawn is called info_player_intermission. The human and alien ones are not required.

ok with all this help (thank you all) im gonna try this again

hopefully once i add the spectator spawn this will work


but can somone tip me as to why my stuff isn't textured in my map editor?

I got it :D

now i just need to make better maps other than just box's with spawns inside......


btw the textures were in game so i guess i dont need to worry much about that


but in my map editor the textures just dont show and it is going to confuse me
