is it possible to add new crosshairs into the game so its possible to play with them on pure server?

i heard something like this on quake but is that possible?

what about custom huds they have different crosshairs that appear on pure servers don't they?

You can make a custom HUD that is exactly the same as the default HUD but with a new crosshair.

Although with a custom hud, you can't use a *new* crosshair, all the assets are pure-checked.

Also, the devs are busy and afaik, lak has never touched hud stuffs. A sensible topic would be a lot better.

The HUD (and here define the crosshair) is afaik the only thing that has been left out of the pure check (on purpose)

The crosshair images are in pure check, the HUD definition files aren't.

Yes, that works the same as in q3. If the server is pure your hud can only use the alternate crosshair image if it is also on the server. As they said on your link

Works the same for Tremulous. Without really looking at them, odds are you could even use the same crosshair pk3s, once you made a Tremulous hud that references them.

hmmm as far as i understand wer able to put this pk3 files (crosshairs) into trem and be able to play with it on pure servers but only if the server has this pk3 too. the question now is how do we get this pk3 onto all servers ? are there any other negative thinks about doing this`? wouldnt it be possible to make a update for tremulous or you put it in your qvm or something ?

i dont know much but id like to use this crosshairs.

tell me what s possible and what not

You cant.
You can go ask individual servers to allow it, but most won't bother to even look.
A few run the camo-bsuit and shinytrem etc, but most won't.
So no-can-do.

is it possible to make the black colour in trem because

1. i saw 2 guys with colour black and without ^^^8 this

2. i want realy have colour black

There are various patches to remove black and exploits that get around different versions. It depends entirely on what sever you're playing on.

adding xhairs...hud

decompress the data-1.1.0.pk3
you can add in your xhair there, then make an installer for it, and whala, a new xhair!

or just take the easy way, look for a hud with an xhair

Don't decompress your data-1.1.0.pk3, and sure as hell do not edit it. Do this, and you won't be able to play on pure servers.

Make a seperate .pk3 with your new crosshair and put that in your base folder.
