What do you run Tremulous on?
« Reply #30 on: July 01, 2006, 08:03:04 pm »
well it's mostly a good map(atleast I like it). My FPS? hmmm....something like 15 when it gets wild  :D , it's hard to hit as a dretch there :(. Actualy it has sometimes worked on my computer well, atleast I remember a game without FPS drop there. Maybe they forgot to caulk? Or maybe there is a multi million polygon dretch behind the wall  .

I think I get worse results on OG Hummie at Transit.
Aside from creating a better/secure(r) hummie base, another mayor reason for moving is the low FPS there.
Yelling at team mates since 2006!

Athlon 64 3200
1GB PC2100
GF5900XT
600GB RAID5
4U rackmount case
Linux

The box is actually the company fileserver, but with the monitor hood and the mouse on my lap it just looks like I'm typing very quickly from the server room window. The KVM switch is handy for hiding trem (and getting tyrant-raped) when someone does enter the forbidden ground.

Who puts such graphic card on a server box ?

Someone with the keys to the server rack, a screwdriver and a bad tremulous habit. I could have just used the serial terminal if trem would render through aalib, but the lack of this truly essential feature has lead to a "hardware based solution".

I want to have such job!

My config is

GFX: GeForce 6600 LE 128MB, AGP
RAM: 512MB DDR PC400
HDD: 200GB Samsung SpinPoint SATA 2 (running at SATA 1 speed)
LCD: Samtron 94B, 19", 1280x1024

FYI, you can get the stats by going into Start-Run-Dxdiag, then reading the Proccessor, Memory (Ram), then click on Display and read the Approx Total Memory, along with the "Name"

that didnt work. i use linux.

I just got my new computer, and I'm annoyed that my friend bought a mac mini for £40 less that's about half as powerful.
Especially when I said I was going to make him a reasonable spec computer (Maybe a little less powerful than his new one) out of spares for free.
