x86_64 builds
« on: June 28, 2006, 09:32:49 pm »
Developers,

Would it be deemed useful to have a platform where you all could compile x86_64 nightly builds/milestones, even unofficial ones?  Let me know, I can set you up with a place to do so. I've got a dual core AMD 3800+ you can use.

As it stands, I'm trying to get it build on the platform myself, but if you all don't have the hardware available and would like it, just send me a private message.

When I built my own x86_64 build, performance was horrible ! Except from that, it worked perfectly.

Yeah... The 64 bit version would be a good idea!

And I hope you meant 64bit linux

I would like to play the tremulous on my 64bit debian but I cannot do it with the available x86 version of trem (there is a separate thread abolut it at http://tremulous.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1781), so I will have to compile it. But some people claim that they have a very poor performance after compiling the 64bit version...

So please give us the official 64 bit version!
