Mapping with a .patch
« on: February 03, 2009, 05:12:08 pm »
I phail at this unfortantly but anyways... How do I get a patch file to be used in GTKRadiant 1.5? i have 1 that is suppose to add a few new triggers and such and buildings for both teams but i have no clue how to get it to work.

I tried going to File>Project Setting>Custom Tremulous Modfication>(part where it asks for location) E:/Program Files/Tremulous/gOnE Mod

but nothing happens when I do that, says its loading the stuff but nothing changes and no new entinys like there should be.

And yes I know there is nothing wrong with the .patch file as Ive been able to build the new buildings in game and such and my friend who made the patch said he can use it fine. but idk how to use it lol, help plz

Exactly what he said. He has a mod with multiple structures added, and he has to find some way of adding said structures to Radiant. I'd think you'd have to take a look at the files that come with the Tremulous gamepack, but I don't know specifically.

meh, you will have to manually type in the classnames from the different buildables... what you need is a entities.def file...
