Can linux and windows play together?

Right now i am currently running linux, and i play tremulous a lot (Freakin awesome game btw). Can i play in servers with my friends who are running windows?

Please don't rant that i'm using linux, its not that bad, and if i had windows working (virus  ) i would be using it.
