ok can someone plz tell me the pk3 layout for trem cuz i dont know it

and i would make a tut so other people could figure out

i got 2 maps done here in bsp form with level shots but i dont know what else i need to do to get them to work in pk3 file

PK3's are juist zips,Open one up with Winrar or something and in the map u should see the following folders

Textures
Sound
scripts
models
maps
levelshots
env

just make those folders ,Zip them and rename the extension to pk3.Obviously putting the required files in the folders first.

i know what i was doing wrong

for the stuff i didnt have like textures cuz i didnt use any custom ones

i didnt put a folder so thanks a bunch!

ok i got another problem its in pk3

with a .arena file

and everything u know

but it wont show up in the maps u can choose from in creat ure own game

even tho i can still devmap the .pk3 and it runs just fine with the level shot and everything

ummm in megaupload that is the DL

thers a box in the top right saying

please enter: "three different letters" Here:"this is where u put it'

then hit enter

and it will start downloading or whatever, i hate megaupload but i dont know any other way how to upload so xD

i was just saying it was the first time i have had to make .pk3's so i dont exactly know how to

but ya its for tremulous

and it should be pretty fun once we get it workin lol

its a perfect map for a small number of people cuz its constant action all the time and think of this

jumpin around with a shotgun dodging dragoons and killin dretches

2 best things in this map will be goon's and shotguns xD

Use the surface inspector (hit s) to fit the crate textures to the brush. Use texture lock in the brush menu so you can move the crate with out the texture going out of alignment.

ya would but i think the map looks fine since its already kinda small

i dont know anyone else try it

i wanna get it workin so i can test it out with ma friends

i think it might eb the arena file because if that has a error then the quake engine or tremulous cant even find it in the map select for creating a server

FIXED IT

i found out the problem

it was because my .arena file extension was .shader

so i changed it to .arena and i can now play it

i will now start a new thread with teh DL to my map xD

lol ya ikno i read on a site that u were suppose to name it .shader

but i guess it was wrong cuz on another it says u need to name it .arena
