I’ve played a free game and former Quake 3 mod called Tremulous on and off for a few years now.
great!
So in my years of experience playing Tremulous I’ve always either been a human or spectating the top human player waiting for a human slot to open. As such I know extremely well how to use each and every human weapon, and in this article I’m going to tell you all how to use them as I’m sick of incompetent humans causing my team to lose for not listening to my advice.
weee!
The rifle is the first weapon you start out with. It has very limited ammo per clip and doesn’t dish out much damage
5 damage per shot with 30 shots per clip =150 damage / clip= 2 clips for 1 goon... seems ok to me. Aim better.
not only that, the pain saw is one of the best weapons to use against Tyrants, Dragoons and Advanced Dragoons. So
Sure the damage is good but most aliens do not let you get within range since correct me if I am wrong most aliens have more range than the painsaw. The painsaw is mostly good for _buildings_ since they do not run away :>
Surprisingly it’s also decent[shotgun], though not great, against Dragoons and Advanced Dragoons.
Silly me thinking that massed shotguns were the most economical(and therefore best) choice for taking down big aliens.
You only get five shots per clip[massdriver], you only have a few clips to begin with and the speed of shooting is extremely slow. The slowest in fact. This weapon would be better if you could scope in, but you can’t.
You might want to mention that the battery pack gives you 7 shots... Also I find it odd that you have not found out how to zoom with the mass driver yet :>
The pulse rifle is an okay weapon.
Odd that you rank the pulse rifle as only ok....
The flame thrower has one really good use: destroying stage 1 aliens.
Try it against pesky advanced marauders and basilisks :>
Only use it[Lucifer cannon] in close range with Tyrants and Dragoon’s
Well you can always try to go toe to toe with tyrants with a lucifer cannon but it may not be the best idea. Better stick to lucijumping to creative places whenever you see a tyrant
