turrets don't work in gtkradiant

whenever i "insert" a turret into a map i'm making, a box is the only thing that shows. I thought that this wouldn't matter when playing it in tremulous but the turrets aren't there. when i first load the map file in gtkradiant, this error pops up:

Model load failed: "models/buildables/mgturret/mgturret.md3"
this happens with any map that i make. any ideas?

It works when you compile it... so you just don't see the model in gtkradiant. Place the "turret-boxes" some units (16+) in the air, otherwise they are stuck in the ground and don't spawn... they will drop to the floor once the map starts.
