How do you give karma?

Karma is given by "Applauding" or "Smiting" a person.

As far as I know, you need to reach a certain post count before you are allowed to influence one's karma.

Once you have reached this post count, you will see two links that say "[Applaud]" or "[Smite]".
Clicking "[Applaud]" will give +1 karma; "[Smite]" will subtract one.

This is how it works on other forums, at least. I haven't reached the point where I can influence karma quite yet.

On lighter news, If you want posotive karma, the best way to do so is to post things poeple want to hear. Ideas that contribute to the community. Make your own thread about something that might help the devs out, or something that may even revolutionie Trem for the better. Ill leave the latter to the smarter people.

Why does it matter? I always thought of it as some silly system of getting your anger out on strangers you don't even know. Careful, people who smite me often become missing.

karma is a system of letting the Tremulous community know who the trolls/idiots/not worth listening to people are as opposed to the 1337/godly/worth listening to poeple are.
