did the people who made tremx (korx) do it with the tremulous.h and everything? or is there another way to make mods?

simple questions like these are offend better fit for the tremulous IRC.

No, they are "real" mods, as in they modify everything in the game a cgame.
Any maps not in the MG repo?  Email me or come to irc.freenode.net/#mg.
