idea for not getting impersonated!

if everyone would use color in there name, and not just one

when someone trys to change tehre name we will see who is real and who is not

like mine i got 2 colors

so its harder for people to get it exactly right so its a ez to tell a fake from a real person

well u see it is hard get the right color since u got all the keyboard letters and numbers

so if u use uniuqe ones

nobody can impersanate

ive never see anyone try to impersanate someone with color cuz its such a hassle to get it right so xD

I think I've seen. And I don't think it stops it. If everyone uses coloured names, they just have to start impersanating people with coloured names. Or then they impersanate n00bs who have just started. Then those noobs might get kicked and Tremulous wouldn't get as many new players as it could.

Me too :], that's the way how I check when my enemy is dead and I can stop shooting. I never believe that it's dead before that. Although a dretch that goes in the way of my fire and dies makes me think I killed the tyrant and I stop shooting and running and get mauled  :cry:

Using colour in your name will not detere an impersonator who knows how to use colour, which is really quite simply.  Seeing as there's only 9 kills to, I don't see a problem.  Unless your name is tediously written using as many characters as possible with each letter a different colour, I'd still be watching out.

I've seen someone use a weird "tool" in ET where he could change his nick every second in the game. The weird part is that he has changed it into exact copy of all nicks on the server. Of course he did that because someone said he is using an aimbot..i guess that nick change is one of it's features.

Should be even easier to do in tremulous because of the source..no point in using rainbow colors for your nick tbh
