Low textured models? [SOLVED]
« on: June 13, 2009, 12:35:41 pm »
I have tried duplicating and changing the textures of this model but it always looks bad and blurry.
Is there a way to fix up the textures on this model?

Btw it is imported from a cs map.

It could ruin any map! :police:

Your best bet is to edit that model in an actual modeling program such as Blender.

You could easily make it out of brushes and it would look 10x better... :P

Why do you have to discourage a possible solution to the problem? So what if it has problems? It's still an option... :)

/On-topic:
Blender can export to .map files, and so can another program, but I can't recall what it was called.
If you can't get it to work with a modeling program, you could also find yourself a better model.

Click here, and look at the 'models' section.

And you could always listen to face, and become an expert mapper....

No no no, that is not my problem. I am trying to figure out why the textures are messed up on this model.
I have a whole map which has very blurry textures but no matter which texture I change it to, it is still blurry and not how the texture is suppose to look like.

We know what your problem is and we are solving it by telling you to get rid of that awful model. Once you do that you can try and get the same problem on a better model.

your textures may be stretched in GTK Press "N" while editing to check

You need to make more posts. Main reason I've been posting lately is too get enough karma to smite this annoying guy on the forums. Just keep posting and eventually you'll be able to.

EDIT: and that was the post that did it. I'm beyond happy right at this moment.
