Bot mod installation

I'm trying to install Amine's Trembot ( http://patches.mercenariesguild.net/?do=details&task_id=96 ), but I can't find the game.qvm.  The closest thing I find is trem.app/Contents/MacOS/base/gamex86.dylib

Do I need to compile it maybe?
I'm running Mac OS X 10.4

If you haven't dropped in your own qvm then the default one will be hidden away in a pk3 somewhere.
Put the one you want in fs_homepath/base/vm/game.qvm, not sure where fs_homepath is on a mac.

On quake 3 its ~/Library/Application Data/Quake3/
Is it still the same in trem?

nothing in either place.  I have even spotlighted game.qvm and not found it.  I looked through the files in the actual app, bot dont see it there either. :( I have never added a mod before, so is the game.qvm part of the original DL of Trem?

No, it isn't. It's in vms-1.1.0.pk3 on a default Trem install. moron.

how would I go about putting it back into a .pk3 file?  I got it open with stuffit expander and replaced it, but I guess I have to put it back into pk3 because it crashes now.

It's just a renamed zip, but you don't want to edit it as it'll break everything (It has to be identical between client and server).
Put it in ~/Library/Application Data/Tremulous/base/vm/game.qvm

I guess I'll know when I get it to work.  nothing still. just a crash.
I put the original game.qvm in the vm folder and it works, so could this mean there is a mac compatibility problem with the qvm or has anyone here gotten it to work?

qvms are platform and architecture independant (that's kinda the point). the reason you're having issues is that almost all game.qvm's floating around are incompatible with 1.1 servers and clients. some clients (off the top of my head mgclient and tremfusion) support the new game.qvms, or you can use just about any tremded other than the 1.1 tremded to run the server.
