autoexec.cfg issues
« on: June 16, 2009, 01:52:25 am »
Okay, I would love to provide screen shots, etc.

But in this case I dont think that would do any good. What happened for me is my custom/template autoexec.cfg destroyed my gameplay.

I borrowed a autoexec.cfg, and made some changes to my benefit. But it turned out that one of the settings had ruined my up/down controls.

So I simply re-moved the autoexec.cfg and started trem up again, yet the settings from it were still installed. I then did a trem re-install, that did nothing, the settings from the autoexec.cfg remained.

I may be a noob, and I am sorry for any time I take out of your day  :(

The stupidest thing I did today was noticing Nate. Blah.

Try to find autogen.cfg

Sometimes settings end up there too. (I have yet to find out on what basis)

All binds and archive cvars end up in there.

Run tremulous and type "/exec default.cfg" in the console to get the default settings back.

Also try cvar_restart. It change value of all commands to default.
