Ubuntu 9.04 & Screen problems

1) Everytime I start the game i have to change screen size of game so the bottom portion is not cut off.  Is there a way to default it to what i want and default my screename to the exact name every time??

2) Also after x number of minutes of game play the Tremulous window reduces its size to half the monitor and then it freezes, but i can still hear sounds and watch people/aliens move around.  Anyway to keep it from freezing or reducing size??  It sucks to have to restart Gnome just to start playing the game again

How do you change the screen size manually? I can't figure out how to.

The resolution? Issue the following commands in the tremulous console:

/set r_customheight [height]
/set r_customwidth [width]
/set r_mode -1
/vid_restart
