It's actually my parents computer, and I can't use their password protected computer. I have made an account but got caught so yeah.
For TJW's client on a Windows machine, I believe the GUID was stored in
Documents And Settings\Local Settings\Application Data\Tremulous.
It was either that or DAS\AD\Trem.
There you had your randomly generated (or not) GUID stored and you could
rename it to back it up. Then you could just reenter Trem and it'd give you
a new one.
Haven't played Trem in forever so if there's a simpler way, I'm unaware
of it and I'll leave it to others.
I already tried that..
If you use different login accounts on the computer they will each have their own guid.
Tried and failed.
If for whatever reason you can't do different accounts, then you can start tremulous with "+set fs_homepath /path/to/somewhere" to effectively simulate the same thing, with each player using a different folder to store it all in.
But separate user accounts is the "correct" way to do it.
Just awesome we use different binds (I have folders with our names in it execing different stuff. I'll just add it to the startup bind to each of ours and everything.)
So if I just make a new folder and relocate the fs_homepath, will their be any bugs/problems? And will I have to copy the Tremulous folder, or just make a new one and let it make itself (I believe it does that by default, right?)?
Anything I have to backup?
Thanks guys, I need to fix this mess.
Also remember this is TremFusion I'm talking about.
