[Solved] Strange tremulous problem (Gray White then Black Screen)

Ok I have no idea what is wrong with my computer....I downloaded tremulous, then I install it...then I open it  AND as soon as I open it..it goes to a gray screen then a white screen then a black screen.   It then stays at the black screen literally forever...unless I do the famous Ctrl Alt Delete.  after it gives me a list of things to do...like Cancel Start Task Manager and Restart...all of that...but the screen is all so bright..to the point where it hurts my eyes...when I just start the task manager everything turns black again and sais tremulouse.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. I am like WHAT!!!

I have tryed to re-download and install I have checked to see if my Video card supports that Open GL thing(my video card does work cause I tryed it on my brother's computer and tremulous worked fine with my video card on my brothers computer)

I have tryed uninstalling my video card drivers and reinstalling it........then updating it to the latest drivers......and still no use, the same problem of the Grey White then Black screen problem

Someone please help me I don't know if this problem is common because I couldn't find anything related to that on the forums of Troubleshooting

Try a more recent client first. It might have something to do with the combination of Vista and your gfx drivers, but I can't really tell. What OS does your brother have?

(Btw.: If that really is your real name on the xfire profile. I'd advice you to give your real name only to people you know and not spread it openly on the web. You never know who is reading)

thank you for the advise......now I am starting to think that too.....my brother has Windows XP home edition service pack 2.....I never have my real name on the internet, but thank you anyway for the concern
