Hi everyone! First post....

    I've looked around these forums everywhere, can't find my problem. I have PBOT2.8 (running ubuntu 9.04). I put the included .qvm into my /.tremulous/BotMod (which I made, next to base) and used the command "tremulous +set dedicated 1 +set fs_game BotMod +exec server.cfg". It starts but when I start trem I don't see it on any of the lists. Also, if I just run tremulous normally then go to "Mods" and select "BotMod", once I "create server" it shows the splash screen with "starting up" it crashes to desktop. I downloaded that qvm from this forum. I have a shoddy wireless situation, so I can't always connect, so I wanted to play against bots in a local server. Thx for any suggestions.

Run the client and do /connect 127.0.0.1 in the console to connect to the local server.
Any maps not in the MG repo?  Email me or come to irc.freenode.net/#mg.

That doesn't work: It goes to the connecting screen and just keeps counting up without connecting. Here I'll paste the terminal output for that:

           That's when I click trem, open the ingame console, and do /connect 127.0.0.1:30720  and it just keeps counting up as if there were no server. But WAIT, here's another contingency: When I just run the mod normally from inside Tremulous, it crashes once I go to "create server". The starting up screen shows for .5 of  a sec. couldn't exec server.cfg

You won't be able to connect until the server loads a map.  That normally happens at the end of server.cfg, so fixing that should fix it.

Don't worry, I just downloaded Tremfusion. It makes everything work. PBOT2.8 is okay, I guess, but I would like to say for the record that the (what is it - two lines?) of instructions that come with the download are pathetically minimal. Thanks for the help, though.
