Buffing up humans a bit

I propose that when the humans reach s2 the light armor gets upgraded to include a helmet too, and when they reach s3, the entire suit is free.

So, what do you think?

Do you have any clue about gameplay?  If you would allow free armor and helmet on stage 3 you should give at least 3 free evos for aliens as well.

Play more tremulous. ::)

When you look in the top left corner of this screen and see "TREMULOUS forums", does that surprise you? This IS the game your talking about, right? You HAVE played the game? Right? Right???

(I dont mean to be harsh, and I don't want you to take any spite from this post, but if you play the game for 30mins more, you really will see that what you are saying is absolute nonsense. Enjoy that 30mins btw, and have fun playing the game :) )

Actually, I've been playing the game off and on for nearly 3 years >.>

But anyways, everyone else says aliens win about 75% of the time, so a little extra defense probably wouldn't break the game. Maybe it's kind of cheap though. I think anything to encourage less camping would be good, I hate having to camp as much as the next guy. I suppose after so many suggestions get thrown around here it's a bit hard to take them seriously though, sorry to trouble you.

dretches should spawn with 50 hitpoints at stage 2 and 75 hitpoints at stage 3.

Now, is it the X servers that have light armour as a freebie? That could be the answer, but I know as an alien I find humans finicky enough to unwrap without an added layer as free. Maybe Im just crappy :).
The R _____ CZ servers are rather good, very little camping, very fun.

tremx does that already. KoRx is a full mod (read: cgame download) so it isn't that bad at all. Servers that advertise 1.1 style gameplay i.e. X/A and the other lettersoup servers do NOT have downloads, and that is where the problem is.

I've actually found that since share has been enabled (not overflow though) the percentage of human/aliens wins have gotten a lot closer to each other. Would be interesting to see the statistics between a couple of servers with share off and a couple with share on.

That would be AWESOME!  I would never evolve :D  I don't evolve much now, but that would seal the deal.

Yes yes, it would be horribly unfair, but man the dretching would be fun!

I don't think hums need any boosting whatsoever, in good servers, humans win a good 65% of the time as they are just insane like that.  Humans have so many advantages, ranged warfare, better buildings (S1 aliens<<<<< S1 Humans), better S2, and wallhackers/aimbots are more common on the hum team.  While humans get a better radar than aliens+headprotection, jetpacks (some maps more of an advantage than others), flamers (again, better on some maps compared to others, pulse rifles (ultimate lag wep/building killer), aliens get advanced mara/basilisk (both extremely UP, basis do less than dretches, and if seen are dead aliens walking, stealthy and they can be very good tho.) Advanced maras are only good at killing nakeds, and are extremely hard to keep control of.  Their zap you would think would do quite well versus buildings (short-curcuit or something) but it doesn't, which is why both maras/basis are underused.  Trappers/boosters are only decent S2 boosts, for aliens, but are mediocre compared to humans s2.

I can agree with that hovever I think how often the humans win depend on the skill level of the players. Usually I see everyone wanting to join the humans when a game starts therefore it probably gets most of the the skilled players. I totally agree with S2 not offering much for the aliens though.
