Hi, I'm deciding which type of 3G plan to buy. If I play tremulous for 1 hour, how much bandwidth would I typically use on a server with 10 players? 30 players?

I doubt a mobile connection will ever be good enough to play.
But to answer your question, very little.

Last time I checked I think I was using <=200KB/s [total] while playing Tremulous. 3G speeds should be adequate but I don't know how bad the latency is.

It depends on /rate. By default, 3KB/s.(most people change config to cap it at 25KB/s which is rarely reached.)

The servers iRun rarely reach 200kb upload with 15 people.

So with 10 you'd need roughly <120kb/s iBelieve.
