Run tremulous, open the console (` or ~) and type /fs_homepath.  Then add /base to the end of what it says and put the maps there.
Any maps not in the MG repo?  Email me or come to irc.freenode.net/#mg.

I've had another problem on a mac that you might/might not need to fix - you have to apple-info on the file and go to name and extension and make sure it doesn't have '.zip' hidden on the end. Safari likes to do that.

When you type /fs_homepath in the Tremulous console it will give you an output, a path to a location in your computer. Copy that location and add /base to the end of it, then go there.

For instance on Windows Trem would give me the location "C:/Program Files/Tremulous", so then I add /base to the end of that: "C:/Program Files/Tremulous/base", and I go to that location. Now use this same method for your Mac.

open up any folder, and type base in the search bar at the top right, look through your base folders until you find one with maps in it.

add them there.
