Can't hear doppler effect
« on: September 09, 2009, 11:07:15 am »
I noticed that doppler effect not work for me (effect when I am near luci balls). It's turned on in options but I hear nothing. I remember that it worked before few months. I din't changed any hardware or software drivers. How I can fix it?

you need to be using openal for sound output.

If you got new speakers make sure they can handle the effect...

Pfffft fanboi ;)

Well, if your speakers are so crap that you are unable to hear the difference between doppler on and doppler off, then you need to upgrade from the 1940s crystal earpiece.

The point being of course that the speakers are somewhat irrelevant in this matter.

@OP: Do you receive any errors relating to OpenAL in your console output?
