Here is a list of idea that i believe need to be considerd in Tremulous ver2.
Feel free to add your own.

Primary ideas

- fix the BS bug
people say that it isnt a cheat, but it messes with the hit box, come on not a cheat???

- pushing other players.
i think have the ablity to push players out the way would help with blocking alot.

- Better hosting menu.
in other words more options, like friendly fire on or off, power cap, build timers etc.

- Send packets.
they seam to have no other use them to lag up the server and piss you off. remove them or fix the lagging.

- cant evole due to enermy to near????
this should be fix in that it only effects you if ur near to there reactor. cose ive played games where in my base under attack i cant evole???

- build timers
i think that build timers should be related to how many players on the server, and if u decon something, other players dont see the power points till ur timer has reached 0, h8 having noob build 5 nodes in the middle of no where.

Secondary

- map voting
the ablity to vote for the next map at the end of each game.

- kicking and banning
if you have been kick you cant renter the server for 24 hours.

- aliens have and aim point.
i think that aliens should have some kind of aim pointer.

Or it would result in people or griefers pushing you in any of the following: void, waiting tyrant, alien defenses, flamethrower, luci barrage.

Packets=Information. They are essential to the game. Try /rate 25000.

True, either reactor/om or all buildings. Not human players.

This removes a part of teamwork in base moves.

Up to admins to decide, not hardcode. Include in server options.

Discussions, discussions. personally i like the fact that only goon, adv mar and adv granger have the reticle. Much can be said on the subject though

Almost all of these have been discussed in the feedback forum. Some are already possible (admins are able to ban, bsuit bug is fixed in svn). Alien crosshairs will likely be possible and will be possible to disable (I would disable it as it is useless).

Have a look at the feedback forum, there are plenty of threads like this. Even one in which the development team comments on suggestions and tells what will likely be included.

There is a file named "server.cfg" that controls all these things. An extended version is available at http://www.tremulous.info at Downloads.

ty for the advice
ive tryed the /rate 25000 and /rate 20000 but i still lag out with the send packets

Not for me, but i've seen countless people asking me how to set up a server while they can't even set up a simple one with the create server button.

Just use a callvote.
Except call votes can't be seen after the round has ended and there's almost never time for the vote to finish.

There should definatly be a "this map next" vote.

Btw... if you look at a tyrant the space between its legs... lots of aliens could go under it easily

At first.. this seems fair... Humans can go and buy a construction kit FOR FREE... but you have to consider the balance.

Aliens can evo anywhere where there is space.
Humans have to have a structure to get upgrades.
Aliens ALL have radar... so you won't find any human hiding with a construction kit(if they got one before their base was destroyed), and building a secret base.. because usually they get tracked down pretty fast.
If you have dretches just turning into grangers though, a dretch can go hide somewhere after the aliens have been effectively destroyed and build an egg and it just drags it out.....

Also.. grangers cannot wallwalk until later.. dretches can.. so you'd have basically wallwalking grangers early on...

This is fine as it is. I certainly dont want dretches turning into tyrants as they fall out of eggs towards me as I'm trying to kill the egg. That would be absurd. If you cant evolve then back off and find somewhere you can - only takes two secs to back off out of the base, or move to the other side of it to evolve. You really dont have to be that far away as it is.

2 suggestions



somehow make it so smaller aliens dont constantly block bigger ones

even repeatedly asking them to stick to the walls doesnt work, as there are people that just dont. its so annoying getting mass driven when your a tyrant and running away, because a dretch , basilisk or mara is in the way


also


once alien eggs are destroyed no more structures can be built if there are no grangers. but if the aliens take out all the human telenodes, they also have to take out the amoury


im not sure how to solve these problems, (unless ff is on which solves the first one)  - any suggestions ?

I agree on this point but it does suck for grangers not to be able to evolve to defend.
As you know, an S1 granger can't just run off and evolve so it would be very usefull to have the ability to evolve around hummies, as long as the reactor is not near.

I have seen plenty of games where hummies made a repeater and a tesla right outside of alien base thus preventing evolution on the aliens own turf next to the OM.This is just absurd. Imagine not being able to buy a gun or get ammo simply because there is an alien close to or in your base.

WRONG. It doesn't change the hitbox, just the skin.
That's why it's harmless. A tyrant with the bsuit glitch has the tyant hitbox.

I think the bsuit bug is an exploit.

"What a weird bsuit OMG I'M DEAD!?!?!?11?1?!111?"

Alien crosshairs would make it easier for dretches to get headbites from the floor, and it would make it easier for other classes to headbite in general.
