Tremulous crashes after a while in Linux!
« on: September 12, 2009, 02:45:19 pm »
I have Ubuntu 9.04 and trying to run Tremulous. Everything goes fine but suddenly the game hangs up and I can't do anything, not even quit the game, tab it down, nothing! Any ideas what I should do?

Disable your screen-saver.
Any maps not in the MG repo?  Email me or come to irc.freenode.net/#mg.

If you're in Openbox, Fluxbox, or Blackbox, listen to David.

If you're in Gnome, KDE, or XFCE, disable Compiz when you play.

The *box screensavers do not detect a fullscreen application as active, as the X mouse cursor is not moving.
This will also happen in Gnome, KDE and XFCE when Compiz is handling the screensavers.
