am i a bad admin??? ive had a bunch of messages at me saying im a horrible admin and the bg server sucks... i completely disagree but it still seems some people still hate me... maybe their just mad that they griefed and got caught and banned..or maybe i kicked them for being a complete dick...

so what do u guys think??? am i good or bad??

I'm thinking bad, because you obviously have insecurity issues and second guess your decisions, at least according to this thread. (I've never played on your server though)

BG is the only low-ping US server with a balanced playercount, default buildpoints, and ff off. Thus, I'm always grateful that it's around.

Your presence means it's not getting deconned to hell and back and you're a good teammate to pay with. I just cringe every time you type in AOL "u" and "r" style.

This is only partly true. If you always want to go head through wall without looking right and left you will end up being hated.

Of course you should have your principles and stay true to your decisions. But nobody is perfect and sometimes somebody comes along with really helpfull and constructive criticism. Headless flames can be ignored, sure. But listen to people calmly explaining what they think you are doing wrong. Maybe they have got a good point or two you never thought about.

This is true, some majority of the population hate athority figures, particularly the people who said figure acted on. Remember that post about Lava Croft? I will start getting them too. What i think is if they are stupid enough to come and call you out on the forums, you should get them back in the game on your server.

I disagree about the always sticking with your decisions. Theres nothing wrong with admitting you have made a mistake, and normally its the sign an admin is gaining experience if they feel they can turn around and say they had made a mistake, and act to correct it.

However that doesnt mean you should start second guessing everything you do! The key is confidence in yourself without arrogance that you are infallible.

When you kick a nasty griefer they might just shrug it off as part of what happens when you do that... but often they are assholes anyway, so they can get billigerent... same often happens with people who don't get banned for a good reason, or get banned by mistake.. they just loose their head instead of simply talking to you about it.

Do whats right and the people on the server who are playing the game and not trying to screw it up will appreciate you... whether they know it or not.
