The ^ button on Mac open the console.

You could create an .cfg file and add:

Code Select Expand

name ^#namehere
then run:

Code Select Expand

/exec TheNameOfYourCfgFile.cfg
inside of your tremulous consul.

That should set your name using the ^# color scheme.
