I managed to get 1000 kills, but that 1000th crashed the server, so I don't have any screenshots

With a blaster.

I also had to hold my breath underwater while I completed this.
I had hungry sharks for company.
My shark killcount was around the 11 or 12, my memory gets a bit fuzzy.

Thing is, that 1000th kill was probably made on a pisstake server.
It means so much more on a populous vanilla trem server.

Not to mention that, since the enemy can only spawn at a certain rate, those thousand kills must have taken a while to get. The fact that you didn't get bored by about the hundredth kill tells me you don't get bored easily enough.

Oh and I got a million kills and I watch paint dry in my free time.

I seem to recall a while back there was a game on funzone that lasted like 6 hours or something stupid. I think they had scores in the 5-600 ranges.

Also 30 bots + dretches + flamer.
Lots of kills can be very quick.

Yeah, I remember seeing the results of that game. The highest kill game I was ever in was on Fun-Zone with slightly less kills:

For the short version only read the stuff in bold.
I have lost the screenshots several times over by now but over the years it will be something along the lines of:

For fast action(under 10 min):
Aliens: 55 kills in 5, Game over. 20 kills in 1, Game over. A ratio of 10 kills/ minute is not that outrageous.
Humans: You can keep up a 10 frags/ minute ratio up to 10 minutes pretty easily. Over 10 / minute is pushing it but can be done. I probably have had a few with 15 frags/ minute scores. I have had 150frags in 24 minutes and for a long time that was my e-penis stroking score.

For slow paced boring games(10-60 min)
Aliens and Humans: I tend to get bored at around 200

Ultimately if you outshine the other team enough and have not won you are doing something wrong or just being a dick for whoring the newbs. It is possible for there to be a stalemate and these games tend to be very tedious to play.
For example
-a game with lots of players and you are not able to force a victory for your team or coordinate an attack.
-Alternatively you are the only player keeping your team of newbies alive vs a team of intermediates.

If you play with enough players you reach a critical mass of bodies and soloing is no longer possible and the kills will start to add up. I usually get bored at that point and join a smaller server where it is actually possible to influence a loss or win.

At the end of the day who gives a flying fuck though. The game is about killing the enemy base not whoring up a huge number to take a screenshot of.

A kill every 3 seconds for an entire minute? More likely that was 20 kills in about 2 minutes and the minute counter just hadn't ticked over yet.

Nux: We were going for impressive scores amirite? It is not my fault the scoreboard rounds the numbers that way... It works the same for all scores but at lower times the effect is noticeable.

Anyways for me kills/ minute is a more fun way to measure e-peen size. If someone spent 300+ minutes fragging away without getting closer to winning and enjoyed it great. I can't get excited about it though.
