* Colour in names implies they know Tremulous well. (Most newbies don't have a clue how to do it)
* Clan members tend to be more serious/dedicated gamers.
* Note the time they've been there.
* Ping could also be having an impact. (Though I doubt it)

Probably, but I think it's more related to pings.
