Hyper Sensitive Mouse

I have have changed the mouse sensitivity down to it's lowest within Tremulous,
I've messed with the mouse sample rate and input buffer lengh within my virtual machine, however it still skips around so much I have issues even getting to the menu to play Tremulous.
I have Vista, since Tremulous won't work with it I run VirtualBox with Windows XP and it runs quickly without any issues,
minus the mouse.

Any ideas ?
Is there a file within Tremulous that I can modify that could help my issue ?
It is an optical mouse,
would that be a possible issue ?

Well I feel stupid,
I played around with the host pointer integration(I turned it off) check box and after a few tries it works somehow.

mouse acceleration. for some reason in windows, if I alt-tab out of trem and then back in, the mouse acts like it's sensitivity has been cranked all the way up. try setting cl_mouseaccel 0 in console (or 1, whatever works), and readjust sensitivity.

also, instead of xp in virtualbox, why not run linux? =3

I gave it a try with ubuntu but I had 9 FPS and a jerky mouse,
I'm running a quad core with 4 gigs of ram and a pretty decent graphics card so it's linux's fault....

my system is waaaaay crappier than that, and my fps is a lot higher. your video drivers are probably to blame. try harder.

upgrade to windows 7 its much better than Vista and XP.

I, too, think that everyone should go spend hundreds of dollars because someone on a forum told me to after I said my mouse didn't work right.

Windows 7 fixes everything!

Open the console and do "/sensitivity x" where x is some number  (I think ~5 is default?).  You can set it way off the end of the slider in the settings.

anyways it should work with Vista too. at least as much as Vista itself works.
