image size/placement on dual display is wrong
« on: July 17, 2006, 07:14:20 am »
I tried Tremulous on a P4 system with a GeForce FX5200 with two contiguous displays, total resolution 2048x768
When setting the game to use 1024x768, I wish there was a way to align the image to either the left of the right edge of the virtual desktop. As it is now, it straddles both monitors, which is annoying.

Isnt that a really bad idea as the centre of your screen/cross hair/area where 90% of the action takes place would be split over the two monitors, and thus it would make it really hard to play? Or do you mean that you want to play on just one monitor, but the image isnt appearing in the right place? If so that sounds like a problem with your dual setup rather than the game. If you are using nvidia make sure its set to dual view. I also find a program called Ultramon very useful for dual monitor desktoping, with it giving you a taskbar on each monitor and other useful features...

I use dual monitors for my desktop and my only annoyance with gaming and dual monitors is the way the resolution always gets fooked on the second monitor whilst the first one is running a game...

Doesn't the Nvidia panel let you set specific things to run in a set window? I can't remember as I found dual monitoring a waste of time for the time being(tried ita few months ago).
