Jet pack help

Hi im very new and i use a mac. The game runs well but it wont let me select upgrades. For example if im playing human and buy the jet pack it wont let me use it i can use the rifle and blaster but it freaks out if i try to get the jet pack. I read the read me and it says this

       If you are playing on a PPC Mac, there is a bug in the cgame code that
prevents you from selecting upgrades with the mouse wheel or the [ and ]
keys.  You instead need to set up binds to use the upgrades.  To do this
open up the client console (type ~), then type the following:
  /bind n itemact gren
  /bind j itemtoggle jetpack
Hit ~ again to close the console and from then on the n key will throw
a grenade if you have one and j will turn your jetpack on and off.
Medkit is already bound to the m key and you can change this one in the
options menu.


I have no idea what this means and would really appreciate help thank you.

The simplest thing to tell you is to update your client, using Tremfusion (lots of new features), or Mercenaries Guild client (Never used it, but I might get yelled at if I don't include this ).

Also, this is in the wrong section, also you've put this in like 5 different places, all wrong.

Start tremulous, press ~ (should be below esc), type '/bind j itemtoggle jetpack' and '/bind g itemact gren' (without the ').
