FF should be on on official servers, as it affects balance as well (adv mara's zap shoots friendlies as well =/)

This does not deserve a new thread.

Maybe, but on the other server, when 1.2 is released, they will most likely be ff on.  So we should leave ff on now, to test the balance including it.

I agree that we should probably have a server with data being recorded with ff on, but there are allready like 10 feedback threads about 1.2 that are alive right now, he doesn't need to make an 11th just to say one sentance.

What's the point on having a forum if i cant make a new thread, requesting a simple thing and allowing others to discuss about it.

Usually to start a discussion on a new topic, sure, but there are at least 2 other threads dedicated to this exact topic.  :)

Guys, yeesh. The topic's here. Let's keep it on topic.

YES. I agree, devs should turn on FF for officials for a bit to collect proper data. Poison should have 50% effect on aliens, mara zap and basi gas shouldn't affect aliens. Pounce, trample and crush shouldn't damage aliens.

And why didn't any dev/admin think about turning it on? (Yes, i want a dev/admin to give his opinion)

It's impossible to test every combination of settings.
It's (IMO) better to have the default settings well balanced than trying to balance everything and ending up with not enough data to do anything.

Not to mention, most player owned servers(in 1.1) have ff on, and I'd bet it'd be similar in 1.2, so it'd be stupid not to test it.

We probably will, after getting FF off more balanced.
