Problems with an admin - The return

 yep i remake this topic, because a moderator closed without any valid reason, saying " This doesn't help anyone in any way " Err i just want an explanation from this admin, an explanation about what is he doing admin, a valid reason for banning everyone this way as they may stop the game after, and so on. That's just... justice?

 Today, after another 2 month tremulous pause, I heard about the arrival of a beta of 1.2. As we all waited much time for it, I decided to take a look and went to Tremulous official server. I don't remind map name, but it was the one with "Window Room". I spawned as an alien granger, and decided to test the new mark system and to see new build points and told my team I would move base to window room (game just started). I told them to cover the move and everyone was ok for it. Then someone called capt.Mccallister told me my base was "nooby", "stupid" and that if I didn't build the way he told me he would build the way he thought. In fact, I had spammed acid tube the door, because it was only s1 and i had not to care about grenades. I told him I would completely change the base at s2. I told him to let me end and to talk after, and that he just had to let me do the base and to go fight/defend instead of talking senseless. . So, after he had built a few stupid trappers I instantly removed, he decided to deny build me, after muting someone I was talking french with. I said "Fucking retard" and he kicked me for 5 min. I came back after this period of time to see the map had changed to Tremor. I spawned as an alien, took dretch and smatched 3 players to get a goon. During my waiting period, I changed my nickname to Admins_Are_Stupid, because I thought he'd kick again if he saw iLoveMe. When i arrived, he instantly renamed me to some admins are stupid. Angry from that abuse I didn't find funny at all, I renamed to All_Admins_Are_Stupid, then to you_in_particulary and then renamed to iLoveMe again. Banned 24h : learn to behave. I also didn't know french wasn't allowed on the server, as there is no message written when i connect.      

 It's kinda sad an admin can't stand players building a way that isn't his, and too bad this admin feels forced to kick. Still too bad that when he loses at his own "name" games he needs to ban to get some pleasure in his poor life. Even sadlier that even after years of tremulous admins are still like that.

 EDIT : that may be the wrong section, sorry for this.
 EDIT 2 : You know this is by acting this way you lost all Tremulous players. I'd be glad to see people reaction.

Some player owns servers have bad admins, such is life, go to a different server then.

No idea of the server or admin, but you definitely did not change your name to Admins_are_stupid because you thought he'd kick you for the iLoveMe name, you did it to piss him off.  Well, success.  May not be fair, but you were actually and specifically asking for it.  I don't think anyone really gives a shit that you tried to get kicked and then were.

It's kind of miraculous, though, that Tremulous still has as many players as it does now after 4-5 years of no updates from the "official" developers. Tremulous has a die-hard community.  Bad administration is not the reason for people leaving, most people leave because they are just bored to tears, and admins act like that because they are also bored to tears and try to bring themselves some amusement.  (Whoever the admin is, is probably quite amused right about now.)

I didn't ragequit, as I didnt write anything, I just had to go? I just took a rapid look at all good maps you can always find on satgnu, as it was the only server with people (2 players Wooohoo) except the Official server (20 players).

 I rofled mega hard at that one. "Tremulous still has as many players as it does now after 4-5 years". What the hell? What tremulous were you playing? The tremulous I remind 4 years ago was full, with more than 200 servers and more than 5k players (as your trailer video said Zzzz).
 And looool Admins try to have quite amusement because they are bored to tears. If you're bored, just stop playing, you got nothing to do as an admin. Blah blah First person shooter wikis : The admin is the person that holds respect etc.. in a server. Woah, pro admins you got on Tremulous! And i don't want to be admin.

Let's see.  Right now there are about 35 servers (with [currently] exactly 295 people populating them) on 1.1 servers only (not counting the empty ones, you should have been more specific there)!  On the GPP server browser (lovin' the new shiny tsb, kevlarman <3), there are 4 populated servers with 17 people currently playing.  I don't know of any other games that haven't had updates for 5 years, but I'm pretty sure they would be way more dead than Tremulous is in it's current state.

If the abusive admins stopped playing, well then they would probably be bored to death instead of just to tears.  Tremulous includes abusive admins, and respectable admins, like any other opensource game.  Get used to it.  By the way, try to articulate your future sentences more clearly, they were a bit difficult to understand in places.

The problem with "official" admins is that no one said what these admins can, should, can't and shouldn't do. As far I know !denybuild is used to stop deconners/complete retarded builders (floor trapperz <3) . But should an admin use it when someone builds a base that is, in HIS opinion, not well thought, or maybe he should ask the team, as any normal player would. Should an admin mute player that speaks French in public chat, even if no one said it's disallowed? And so on

And it is used by "egomaniac admins who cannot accept that someone builds in a different way than they prefer.

Some days ago I joined a server as granger. I checked out the base and found 5 eggs in one room. I decided to decon one and place it elsewhere on the map but as soon as I had marked it, the admin took away my build rights. I just left the server and played elsewhere.

hello; this is the short story (in my opinion and what i remember):

Server was the "Official Europe Trem Server"

A- Niveus:
1)I see an inexperienced builder in aliens
2)I spawn as granger and help building the base in window room
3)I tell the other builders (I remember t least 2 more) how they can improve the base
4)I read someone using non english in public chat -> I ask them politely to speak english
5)We get attacked and I see the other builders where more dangerous than useful
6)I denybuild the other grangers
7)I get some insults
8)I kick the offensive player

B- Tremor:
1)A nice player get a strange name: Admins_Are_Stupid
2)I check ip and i found it is ILoveMe
3)I rename him to Some_Admins_Are_Stupid
4)I get some insults
5)I ban with the reason "learn to behave"

And now some explanation: in the last days I've been busy (you
know...in my "bored to tears" life I've to find some time for
holidays) and I'm not active on this forum; I hope ILoveMe will read
the answer anyway. I'll report just what i remember:

I know building skill is quite a matter of opinion, but when I saw a
builder not experienced I tried to help aliens (hmm... for sure I
didn't call you "stupid" or "noob"; we were s1 and I built trappers???).
I remember at least 2 other builders and after hs2
attack I decided that they would have messed up the base and the whole
game (you know, there are other players too).

Meanwhile I read some chat in french and I asked politely to use
english or personal message (with my ubiquitous bind "speak english,
please" and even pm to players in question).

I got some insults and I kicked the player in question (honestly this
is the part i don't remember exactly, I got too many insults in my
"poor life"...).

When the new game started, I saw a player with such a nice name that I
decided to rename him (Admins_Are_Stupid -> Some_Admins_Are_Stupid), I
even tried to justify my action: if it was an insult to me, he should
have been more accurate. He got a new nick ("you_in_particularly"),
then I ask him who was the object of his insult: if me (in this case,
maybe he's right), or the other players. As answer, I got some new
insults.

ILoveMe, i decided to kick you because I found that your behaving
wasn't suitable to a public server; in my opinion: work as a team
learning from other experienced players, speak english, do not insult
other players is the standard way to play. I trust my own decision and
I would do exactly the same things again, if needed.

In conclusion, sorry for the long post and my bad english.

I told at start I was moving base to window room and that covering me was more important than trying to build, as building another way than mine would fuck up my base and so the game. You're calling me an inexperienced builder but I think i've way more experience in building than you but it's np. You had placed really stupid trappers that wouldn't hit any human and so you wasted build points. I killed these trappers and you denybuilt me.  You say you got more insults but I just renamed to you_in_particularly, I didn't give any insults.

Anyway, in the event that you DO meet a dick admin, just stay out of his way or something. I'm pretty sure theres a console command to dump text to the server log, so
just report what he's doing there. (I vaguely remember reading about such a command, so i'm not exactly sure if it exists)

And don't call all admins stupid because almost all the admins I know are pretty cool, and its not helping your
case at all.

And why would you call the admin a 'fucking retard'?? It seems like asking for kick/ban
