Beta 1.2 High ping

Hi,
today i installed tremulous again and tried the beta gameplay preview. When I tried to play, I couldn't find any server with lower ping than 100ms. So I tried normal trem, and found that ping are normal too (usually around 25ms to some Czech servers and around 60ms to servers located in Germany or even France). My next step was locating, where the Europe official server is located, and found that it is in Germany too. When pinging the server from windows command line, i got results around 25ms.

So I ask - is there some reason why I have higher ping to 1.2 beta servers? And more importantly is there anything I can do with it?

PS. I am currently running trem on Windows 7.

The ping in the server browser isn't insanely accurate, try joining a server and see what the lagometer says.

There are a lot less 1.2 servers ATM so it may just be that none are near you.

The problem is, that the official server is not too far from me. Yes it is in another country, but i have usually played trem on German and even on French servers. I of course tried to play, but the ping was almost the same in game.

The euro server is hosted on the same box as Wrath Newbie Training Server and Aliens' Wrath.  Do they have the same ping? (in 1.1)

I saw in server browser 1.2 very high pings (150+) even on my server. But when I join, then ping is ok.

I tried it just now, Wrath Newbie Training Server (normal trem) ping 30-40, Official Europe Tremulous Server (1.2) 90-100. Well I just hope, that it is caused by beta stage of 1.2 version and will be fixed ...
