im guessing you  can start a clan whenever you like, as long as its not for somthing stupid like " the i am a vegetarian republican clan" or somthing else retarded like that?

You can start a clan at anytime, doesn't matter how stupid it sounds (or is). As long as the clan tag is not SO offensive that you get kicked from a server it should be ok.

and "vegetarian republican clan" actually sounds pretty cool

I encourage the creation of spurious and rediculous clans!
Basically you either have to have a really good idea and the will to organize in the near future, or have all of that right now... but thats what i suggest.. in reality there aren't really any rules.

IMHO a clan get's started for a game and not for a name, weeeelll there are exceptions to the rule, but I wont go into that. I guess you know what I mean.

But the naming... well if the founding members are agree on one, why shouldn't it sound ridiculus? They are the ones getting ridiculed and might have problems recruiting *G*
