Weird high definition problem

I ran tremulous and it randomly had better graphics, like Trem HD. textures looked clearer and the whole picture was sharper
the problem is that it makes me lag and sends my fps down to 40ish from 80s where it used to be
the improved graphics aren't worth it, and i was wondering what setting, if any, i have to fix

if nothing works i'll reinstall, which i was hoping not to have to do, so thanks

oh btw the console font size is now really really small, if that helps anyone figure out what the problem is
and the atcs sky is all black, no color

Go the the options menu and lower some of the graphics options.

Sounds like you increased your screen resolution. Try lowering it in the options for an increase in FPS. Also, you have low-quality sky turned on, that's why it's all black.

yeah, thats what must have happened, and it sounds easy to fix.

sadly i reinstalled tremulous and tremfusion and now when I try to enter a server it just takes me back to the main menu,
and i don't know what i'm supposed to do now..
