problem with qvm
« on: January 25, 2010, 10:10:30 pm »
So I compiled my QVM, and I got the tremded, but it's a tremded.x86.

So then I put it in the correct location and I changed the startup command from :

./tremded.ub +set dedicated 2 +exec server.cfg

to

./tremded.x86 +set dedicated 2 +exec server.cfg

And I ran that, but it still said the error about G_ParseSpawnVars.

?

Your qvm and tremed don't match, try upgrading your tremed.

I know about that, but my qvm and tremded DO match. The tremded I"m using was the one I compiled when I compiled the QVM.

Which QVM?  Lots of them only have the QVM working and the rest broken.
Any maps not in the MG repo?  Email me or come to irc.freenode.net/#mg.

Well its based off of Lakitu7s qvm but it has patches for server side demos and !invisible command. And jetpack fuel.

are you sure the tremded matches? it doesnt matter if you compiled the tremded for that qvm it may not have been backported.

try tremfusion tremded or mg tremded(id recommend tremfusion one) this is why i make sure i trim all the extra "data" from my projects qvm projects dont need tremded source because people try to use it w/out backporting it also increases the download time.

not alot of qvms have !invisible and jetpack fuel though i know a few that has those commands but i don't know any that also keeps the tremded/tremclient source.

EDIT: well there is one cQVM i think the tremded isnt backported so youll prob have to use tf or mgtremded which are much better choices anyway.
