I gave a few flamed suggestions before but this is more or less my version of feature requests.

Flying Dretch:
Most of you know the dretch doesn't have an advanced stage but I don't see why we can't slap a new model on the dretch and then give it wings and call it the advanced dretch. We've always noticed the annoyance of jetpacks and the inability of any of the aliens to fly even though they seem more likely to have a flying being. This does indeed seem like a lot of work and I wouldn't mind helping out with the programming but I cannot do a model.

Marauder:
The marauder I personally feel is useless unless given the advanced stage. It jumps to high to actually hit from above and it's usually too difficult for people to move their mouse fast and accurate enough to get decent hits. I personally think that the Marauder should jump lower and maybe have a little bit more air control. That's about it for this suggestion.

Wall boots:
I think the humans should be given a cheaper solution to moving to the top of buildings by walking on the walls (at a slower pace of course). Similar to the aliens wall walk.

Teleporter Hovel:
I do indeed know the debate on this subject. However I feel the given reasons as to why it was not implemented is rather untrue. If you have one hovel, you can't teleport. If you have three hovels, you can teleport to each hovel in the order is was built. The reason give as to not implement this was to prevent the chase of given grangers. I think this is an invalid reason because it is the hovel on one side can be destroyed or surrounded on both sides by humans. Also, the protection of the granger is still a valid reason to have a hovel since they're so defenseless. I know a lot of people didn't use it but it could have easily been used in the proper moments and I do remember using it myself a few times.

Teleporter Node:
Same thing as the Teleporter Hovel except for Humans.

A little off subject but about the engine:
The game is indeed getting old like most people fear. Though I don't think game will or should move any time soon, I don't see why extra time couldn't be given to making a port of the game to a different and newer more developed engine. I don't mean making it a main project but simply the framework could be given. Also, I might be wrong in saying this since I have no experience in the internals or use of a game engine, but couldn't we place the current game on top of a different and new engine and keep it's small and light feel available?

Ah, I remembered some more:

The Menu:
I was told that the default menu of Tremulous had been redesigned but is not given in the preview release. I really couldn't tell if this was true or not but I hope it is. If it wasn't, that is my suggestion.

The Gun Reloading:
I think the guns should have different types of reloading. I really don't know the extent of doing this in ioQuake3 but let say for instance the shotgun. Why not let it reload bullet by bullet? Giving it a longer full reload time but giving it a quick bullet reload. The mass driver should have a slightly longer reload time and the pulse should have a longer reload time. I can suggest the rifle be given a smaller clip but a much shorter reload time. I'm just guessing as to suggestions so I don't really know how well this would work but it might be interesting and is actually a large role in most FPS games if they give a reload sequence at all (Unreal doesn't give a reload sequence but it is a HUGE role in Left 4 Dead and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2).

Gun Models:
I remember someone talking about the changing of a few models on the guns. I highly agree with this but I couldn't find anything on the forums... I think I'm missing something but the mass driver I think could easily be replaced with: http://tremulous.net/forum/index.php?topic=10578.0

I also think the shotgun could be given a little makeover since it really doesn't look like much of a shotgun.

Movement Affected by Weapons:
If a human is carrying a chaingun, one could imagine that crap being half a ton. One would also think they couldn't sprint all the way across the map with it in world record time, hitting close to the sound barrier. I'm just suggesting this for the chaingun and luci since they're both pretty heavy weapons and they would have they take a bit to much advantage of the dodge effect.

The Tyrant Model:
The proposed tyrant model given in the models section looks great and immensely sexy. When will might it be proposed to be placed in game?

Most of these will require extensive balancing, and thus I oppose them, at least until 1.2 comes out. Even then I don't see things like a flying dretch or wall boots making it to official Trem. Maybe a mod would be a better idea?

The teams are different.  Trying to make them the same is stupid, go play quake for that.

Flying dretch would be a fun mod, hope the Open Sky Project comes to fruition someday :)

~ laser trip mines
~ remotely detonating explosive charge / grenades
~ small missile launcher
~ toxic gas canister

Buildings:
~ research facility- e.g. allows to upgrade buildings (e.g. reactor- more power; less energy consumption; larger energy range for buildings), weapons (bigger ammo clips, better accuracy, more damage, higher rate of fire), stronger armor
~ mounted gun operated by human (e.g. gattling gun)
~ flamethrower turret

Additional features:
~ RPG elements- upgrading human stats in armory (e.g. accuracy, speed, carrying capacity, endurance / HP)

Extensive balance would have to be done just for walking slowly with the chain.

Well, these are not great ideas. Once you play tremulous some more, you'll realise how...ridiculous these ideas are. Trem is allready in the WIP and almost done but changing it may make it take a LOT longer.
